The Fountain of Apollo, The Versailles Estate, Versailles, France

The Fountain of Apollo is located on the magnificent Estate of Versailles. Versailles is a 'must see' destination. I'm a fan of mythology and have been ever since studying it in high school. While Latin was not the most popular subject among my peers, I found it fascinating. Apollo is the god of many talents. He is known as the god of music, poetry, healing, archery, light and truth. The sculpture shows the god in his chariot drawn by four horses, surrounded by four Tritons and four sea monsters. Apollo's reputation does not fail. He lights up this winter scene beautifully.
