This portion of my journey began while I was working as an international sales executive for a global company. I was responsible for helping clients achieve their business goals through the use of our world-class products and services. Over the years, I developed an expertise in consultative sales and established a proven track record of listening to customers, uncovering needs, creating winning proposals, and closing substantial deals. I have worked both domestically and throughout the Caribbean and Latin America and speak Spanish fluently. I enjoyed a highly successful corporate career that spanned 15 years. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Marketing and International Business) from Georgetown University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

In 1999, I received the inspiration to touch others through my talents with words and photography. That inspiration birthed a dream that I attained in 2008 with the publication of Soul Work: Excerpts From My Journey. The coffee-table book features personal reflections paired with photographs that I captured at unique locations around the world over many years of international business travel and exotic vacations.

Realizing that dream was a journey into my heart. I consider it my most unforgettable trip yet. I rediscovered my creative Self and the things that make me come alive- my heart’s joy. Little did I know how fulfilling this dream would impact my life.

At the end of the same year my book was published, I was met with the unfortunate news that I was being laid off along with 1200 other employees. Despite the initial shock, I knew intuitively that this was the perfect segue into a new life based on her heart’s joy. At the proverbial crossroads, I chose to follow my heart.

Now, I inspire others through my coaching. Heart alignment and Self-love are the basis of my coaching philosophy. I draw upon the depth and breadth of my education, life experiences, and unique skill set to support my clients in living their heart’s joy. I also coach groups in workshops that I personally design, develop and deliver.

I continue to write and photograph intuitively. I believe the countless hours I spent as a child, watching my father take family photos, made such an impression on me that I unconsciously adopted his hobby. My interest in writing is an extension of my love of reading.

My artistic creations, which are branded and sold though my company, Heart’s Joy, LLC, are an expression of my passion for nature, travel, photography, and spiritual discovery. I believe that my photography draws the eye to the natural beauty that surrounds us, yet often goes unseen. It beckons us to appreciate the innate process of being and becoming- the journey.
